WORD ON PHUKET MUSIC SCENE: In Phuket for the Blues Festival, Swedish blues-rock group the Torgny Sandgren Band took the opportunity to lay down a few tracks at Legend Music Recording Studio.

Taking advantage of top-notch equipment at Legend Music Recording Studio and the reasonable rates offered by South African producer Gary Crause, the six-member band recorded 10 foot-stomping tracks at, all sung in Swedish by lead singer Torgny.

Torgny also plays guitar and writes all the band’s songs himself.
“We don’t get the chance to record together very often in Sweden because we live quite far apart from each other, so it’s great that there’s a recording studio here in Phuket,” said Torgny.
Playing live, the band were very well organized and laid down the 10 tracks in just two recording sessions.
Studio owner and producer Gary Crause said the band performed extremely well and showed some amazing talent.
Versatile keyboard player Ronald Vikstrom also added hrmonica to the blues rock mix.
