WORD ON PHUKET HOTELS: Wyndham has signed a new Ramada hotel on Kata Noi Beach in Phuket, Thailand.
The Ramada Phuket South Sea, owned by Phuket development company South Sea Resort, will be the sixth Ramada hotel in Thailand, marking the second agreement signed between South Sea Resort and Wyndham Hotel Group.
“Thailand is an important growth market in the Asia Pacific region so this is an exciting opportunity for us,” said Ken Greene, president and managing director of Wyndham Hotel Group in Asia Pacific.
“South Sea Resort Co., Ltd. is a respected developer in Phuket and we’re happy to be working together to further build the Ramada brand in this popular resort destination,” he said.
Due to open later this year, the Ramada Phuket South Sea hotel will feature 152 guest rooms with sea views. Amenities will include an outdoor pool, gym, spa, meeting space, pool bar, an all day dining restaurant and teppanyaki and sushi bars.
“The hotel will appeal to a wide array of travellers visiting Phuket,” said managing director and president of South Sea Group, Mrs Nantana Saenglhee.
