WORD ON CHANGING WORLD: A high school teacher randomly attacked by a police officer in Seattle with pepper spray as he was innocently walking past a police barricade is suing the city for half a million dollars.

Jesse Hagopian was walking and talking on his cellphone after giving a speech at a Martin Luther King Day rally, when a Seattle police officer sprayed him in the face with pepper spray.

The teacher is now suing the city for US$500,000, alleging that the officer had unlawfully discharged pepper-spray in his face.
