Patong Beach front modern 4-star hotel Andaman Embrace opens December 2011, replacing Club Andaman Beach Resort with contemporary Sino-Portuguese decor and architecture

The modern entry-level Andaman Rooms of the Andaman Embrace Resort & Spa on Patong Beach front offer contemporary 5-star luxury at 4-star prices throughout the 2011-2012 peak season in Phuket.

WORD ON PATONG HOTELS: The Andaman Embrace Resort & Spa is set to open this December as the first Sino-Styled resort on Patong Beach front, replacing the Club Andaman Beach Resort.

Under new ownership, the seven-story hotel building and surrounding gardens are one of the the largest resort properties on Patong beachfront.

The Club Andaman Beach Resort closed its doors on April 30, after more than 20 years of service, allowing major renovations to begin, which will transform the hotel into a modern-day revival of Old Phuket Town’s historical Sino-Portuguese architecture and reopen as the Andaman Embrace Resort & Spa in time to accept guests during Phuket’s 2011 / 2012 peak season.

Located opposite Loma Park on Patong Beach, the newly-branded 10-rai (4-acre) resort is to be operated by Phuket-based hoteliers Limsup Grand Co., Ltd.

As well as completely redesigning the hotel’s interior and refurbishing the 200 guest rooms to give the resort an entirely new contemporary sino-colonial look, the resort’s transformation from Club Andaman beach Resort into the Andaman Embrace Resort & Spa includes the addition of a 570 square-meter swimming pool, an independently operated spa and a new restaurant.

However; popular features set to remain in place include the resort’s tropical garden dotted with 18 ‘lotus cottages’ surrounding an ornamental pond.

Andaman Embrace Managing Director Ms Salisa Limsakul said the existing cottages and garden will stay but will also be completely revamped to fit the Sino-Portuguese architectural theme and give guests a modern hotel experience with a traditional twist.

“Our priority is to ensure guest satisfaction by providing luxurious facilities and excellent hospitality at affordable prices. A key factor in achieving this is Limsup Grand’s generations of experience in the region as a top-quality resort developer and service provider,” said Ms Limsakul.

“Andaman Embrace will open with an entirely new dedicated team of experienced managers and staff to ensure a smooth launch in time for the high season and provide five-star services at four-star prices, and we’ll be offering low-season rates throughout the 2011–2012 peak season until October next year,” she said.

The brand new Andaman Embrace poolside spa will feature individual massage and beauty treatment rooms, each with a spa bath in a private garden.

The guest rooms are spacious and modern with subtle elements of Sino-Portuguese tones and architecture in the décor and furniture.

Ms Limsakul said she expected 78 guest rooms on the two lower floors to be operational in time to accept guests during the peak season, giving guests a choice of three room types: Andaman Rooms; Andaman Deluxe and Balcony Deluxe rooms.

“Even the entry-level Andaman Rooms are designed to be comfortable and spacious and styled to give our guests a luxurious and refreshing experience of modern convenience,” said Ms Limsakul.

The expansive first-floor lobby will feature Sino-Portuguse style shopping arcade – a modern version of Old Phuket Town – with 13 boutique shops.
